VERITY AUDIO OTELLO - REVIEW
The Verity Otello is without doubt a very accomplished speaker, able to facilitate one’s “suspension of disbelief” when listening to a variety of music via its transparency and resolution, its ability to unearth detail, and its way with dynamics, space, and texture.
THE TRI-ART P-SERIES INTEGRATED - REVIEW
The Tri-Art P-Series Integrated is truly a breath of fresh air. It brings a transparency and an openness, a naturalness and musicality that belie its price in favour of a much more expensive component. Add its very good headphone amplifier and it’s possible that you’re looking at a three-to-one pricing advantage over the competition.
PARASOUND HINT 6+ INTEGRATED - REVIEW
I really enjoyed the Parasound Halo Hint 6. I mean really enjoyed it. It exudes class, sounds wonderful, and is built to a high standard. I also really like the price. For $3200 you get an amp designed by John Curl that will drive any speaker, a DSD DAC, a phono preamp, and numerous other bells and whistles.
ANTICABLE SUITE - REVIEW
ANTICABLE has long touted its cables as giant killers and so it appears that they are, as was demonstrated throughout this review from cable type to cable type against a very expensive competitor and a competitor of equal pricing, both well known to the audiophile cognoscenti.
TRI-ART AUDIO P-SERIES INTEGRATED - REVIEW
If you’ve got the scratch—money, loot, bing-bings, dollars, coin—you may want to avoid some of those time-honored brands, whose parts are nowhere close to the parts or thought or environmentally friendly approach envisioned and employed by Tri-Art Audio in the Tri-Art P-Series Integrated/Headphone Amplifier.
BORDER PATROL SE-i DAC -REVIEW
The simplest thing to say about the Border Patrol SE-i DAC is that it never disappointed or failed to amaze. However, to carry on about SE-i DAC is to speak to its whole-cloth coherency, its top to bottom frequency reach (dependent on system configuration/synergy), its natural and wholly transparent rendering of the music, and its beguiling, analog ease across the entirely of the frequency range.
THE STAX SR-L700MkII - REVIEW
Transparency, clarity, speed, soundstage are all next-level with the SR-L700MkII. And it will absolutely shine on live recordings, open halls, cathedrals, choral, chamber, symphony arrangements (with caveat), intimate cafes, even rock (given the proper supporting equipment). The SR-L700MkII will bring the air, the width, stage depth, and height associated with each of the songs that it renders.
